#113 Pink Ivory
$325.00
1.5” diameter and 3.25” tall.
Considered the rarest wood in the world, this species is also among the hardest woods as well. This species was long considered sacred and only members of the royal family in the Zulu tribes of South Africa were permitted to have even a piece of it. Until the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879, the penalty for a commoner possessing this wood was death. It is highly prized today for its deep pink color but embargo have made it very difficult to get even small amounts of this wood to work with. This piece is quite small with a slender shape and perfect for holding a very small bud if so desired.
