4” diameter and 7.25” tall 

This form has a very straight grain orientation with a perfectly delightful shape and size.  Mahogany trees were deforested in the Caribbean Islands to devastating levels until these  island governments elected to protect this tree in the middle part of last century. Since then,  they have thrived and even been transplanted to grow in non-native environments such as  South Florida. This is a highly sort after wood for furniture and cabinet making as well as wood  turning. The shape of this piece is absolutely perfect.
