This wood species has become one of my favorites in the past year or so due to how well the wood takes to being shaped on the lathe, but more than that, because of the spectacular way the wood spalts during the decay process. I absolutely adore it and I like the colors as well as they are cooler than the Maple species I often work with. I like this shape very much are well 23and especially how it finishes with a nice rim at the top.
