Cupressus × leylandii

6” tall by 12” diameter

This form demonstrates a fusion, that I refer to as ‘stitching’ as a very prominent feature in this piece. Combining with the uncommonly beautiful grain of this species, are filled areas composed of the branches of an eastern red cedar tree and a paste of recycled coffee grounds that is then shaped to match the piece perfectly. The entire piece is then finished inside and out with clear epoxy resin.
