This form has many elements to commend it to your attention. This species often produces vibrant red coloration that this piece only has hints of, but the movement in the grain throughout more than makes up for that. It also has an area that was impacted by insect damage that I used as a canvas to do my signature “stitching” where I inlaid end cuts from branches from an eastern red cedar tree. this piece is a fine addition to any collection.
